DEVA is completely Shahid Kapoor's, but the first half of director Rosshan Andrrews's film is quite slow and confusing. Shahid Kapoor fans may like this film but the first half of the film disappoints but the second half surprises you which you will like.
Storyline
The story of the film is about its main character ACP Dev Ambre, who is a rowdy police officer and who does not follow the police rules, he handles the criminals in his own way. Because of this, the media presents Dev as an anti-social entity and questions his behavior. It is shown in the film that Mumbai police department is investigating the murder case of an MLA in which Prabaht Jadhav is the main accused and all the officers of Mumbai police are trying to arrest him. Then suddenly one day Dev Ambre gets a tip and following it, Dev arrives with his team to arrest Prabhat, his best friend Rohan D’Silva is also in his team.

Prabhat Jadhav is killed during this police operation for which credit is given to Rohan D’Silva. Rohan is awarded the Police Bravery Award for his bravery, for which the Police Department organizes a rally, where suddenly Rohan is shot dead. After this incident, the entire Mumbai Police is left in shock and especially Dev feels very sad because Rohan is very close to his heart. ACP Dev Ambre takes the investigation of Rohan’s murder in his hands and starts investigating it, in which he finds a very different face and in the end he also finds out the real culprit but then suddenly Dev meets with an accident. yes it has come. Due to this accident, Dev has lost his memory and does not remember his past at all, so much so that he does not even remember any information related to the investigation of Rohan Muder case.

Now the challenge before Dev is how to remember the old things and reach the real murderer of Rohan.
Conclusion
While watching the film, you will remember Shahid of Haider and Kaminey movie a lot because Shahid’s look and his acting in the first half of the film reminds you of Haider. Where in the second half you are shown Shahid Kapoor in clean shaven look, which has been missed. Overall Shahid Kapoor has made a very good effort which is reflected in his acting, but the weak first half of the film lets it down. Among the female actors of the film, the role of Pooja Hegde is not very special, she has been kept only to create a romantic angle in the story, as per the role, there are less scenes in her part but Pooja Hegde is very beautiful in every scene. On the other hand, Kubra Sait has played the role of a police officer in which she has played her part well.
Now let’s talk about the storyline of the film which is a bit confusing in the first half because it is not shown at all who Prabhat Jadhav is and why he killed an MLA. While watching the first half, you will feel that something is going on somewhere, no information has been shown about whom the Mumbai Police is hunting, but in the first half you will enjoy Shahid Kapoor is seen as a psycho police officer. The second half of the film, on the other hand, is completely opposite, which seems to be quite gripping and full of tension, in which every scene surprises you and shows a different look of Shahid who has forgotten his past. Shahid has also handled both the parts of the story very well which is praiseworthy.
