Mufasa The Lion King is a precursor to the phenomenally popular 2019 film The Lion King. This part directed by Barry Jenkins chronicles Mufasa's life from infancy to his coronation. For Hindi fans, Shahrukh Khan's voice makes it even more appealing with his son Abram Khan has dubbed Mufasa's childhood. You also get to know the story of Scar, who is Mufasa's brother.

Storyline

As The Lion King ruled the hearts of all the viewers, this part also does not disappoint you in which the magic of Shahrukh Khan’s voice also helps. The movie opens with Simba and his family, including his daughter Kiara, his pals Timon and Pumbaa, where Rafiki is telling story to Kiara about her grandpa, Mufasa, was a proud ruler of Pride Land for many years.

Mufasa’s story starts with an accident in which he is carried away by a river and separated from his parents. Where he meets Taka, a member of a royal family whose father, Obasi, is in charge of that jungle and Taka start playing with Mufasa after saving him from the crocodiles. Taka’s mother Eshe worries about his actions because she cannot trust any outsider, but seeing Mufasa’s condition, Eshe feels pity on him and agrees to keep him with her. The king of the jungle, Obasi, however, is not prepared to welcome Mufasa and requests that he depart immediately, labeling him an intruder and a wanderer.

Taka sees Mufasa as his friend and brother, so Obasi has to accept Mufasa. But for that Mufasa will have to live with the Eshe, because he is sneaky so he cannot live in the royal herd. Eshe gradually discovers Mufasa’s skill, she teaches him different hunting techniques and treats him like her own son. However, Taka does not hunt and lives with the royal herd because Obasi considers Taka to be his heir, and he will inherit the entire empire after him. However, a gang of feared lions outside the forest are vying for control of the same area. One day, this herd unexpectedly confronts Eshe, and Mufasa kills one of the herd members to save Eshe.

From here the story of revenge begins and Kiros, the leader of that dreaded group, wants to avenge the death of his son. In such a difficult situation, to save Taka, Obasi has to take a difficult decision and asks him to run away from there with Mufasa. Following their escape from this violent gang, the two brothers embark on a new adventure that will lead them to Melele, which Mufasa had heard of from his parents. Along the way, they meet Zarabi, a member of a royal dynasty, and his minister Saazo, because of these rogue lions, Zarabi has also been split apart from her family, but she has no faith in anything like Melele. But it is better to stay safe by staying in a group with the lion than to die alone in the jungle, so in this journey of Mufasa, Zarabi also goes with him. As they proceed, they meet a monkey Rafiki with some Tantra abilities who was expelled from his tribe, The plot then picks up speed, with numerous occurrences occurring on the way to Melele, which leads to Mufasa ascending to the throne of the Pride Land.

Conclusion

Technically, you can’t make out any bones in this film, in which CGI has been used perfectly, along with the background music gives one goosebumps. What makes this film even more special is the voice of the King of Bollywood, which has been recorded very beautifully. The Hindi dialogues of this film are also very well written, which are a lot of fun to listen to, like what Eshe says to Mufasa“Ghar se door hokar hi hum khud ko khoj paate hain” and Obasi says to Taka“Humare khwabon se hi riyasat mehfooz rehti hai”. Also, there are many chasing scenes which are a lot of fun watching in 3D, The ending of the film has been left such that there is a possibility of its next part coming in which Simba’s daughter Kiara and her son will take the story forward.
