‘Bad Newz’ is a great mixture of Comedy and emotions which comes with perfect timings of punch lines.

'Bad Newz' ends the long wait for a good comedy film in Bollywood. There are so many such scenes that you can't stop laughing and they touch your heart emotionally. The music is quite good, soothing to your ears. Below you can read the review of 'Bad News' in detail.

Storyline

‘Bad Newz’ is the story of a Saloni Bagga (Tripti Dimri), who is very ambitious about her profession and work and wants to win Meraki Prize, the Nobel Prize of Chefs, but after meeting Akhil Chaddha (Vicky Kaushal) at a wedding, Saloni falls in love with him and soon their love blossoms into a marriage. After which real attention begins to be paid to what happens in a love marriage. Akhil Chaddha’s love soon interferes with Saloni’s profession, and the responsibility of being a daughter-in-law in an Indian society begins to weigh on Saloni, which takes the relationship to the point of divorce. Very soon, to recover from this emotional and professional shock, Saloni shifts to Musoorie where she meets Gurbir Pannu (Amy Virk).

Compared to Akhil, Gurbir is a very calm and resolved person who seems to like Saloni, but suddenly a similar situation happened with Saloni whose face seemed to have become physical one after the other with Akhil and Gurbir. Four weeks later Saloni finds out that she is pregnant but she does not know who the father is. After the paternity test, it is found out that her two eggs have been fertilized by separate sperm, and twins have been left in her ovary. In which one child is fertilized by Akhil’s sperm and the other by Gurbir’s sperm, such cases are called heteropaternal superfecundation in medical science.

In such a strange situation, Saloni now has to decide to whom will she give the rights to father these children?

Conclusion

Acting

Tripti Dimri looks good even before pregnancy, she does not look effective in many scenes after pregnancy. Vicky Kaushal has brilliantly played the role of a Punjabi boy who has inherited money and business, Vicky Kaushal’s comic timing has been amazing and he is proving himself to be a versatile actor. Vicky can play any character very easily, be it Udham Singh, Sam Bahadur or Akhil Chaddha. Amy Virk has tried her best to portray the character of a Sikh hotel owner but she looks weak in the emotional scenes.

Apart from the three main characters, all the supporting actors also play their parts well. You will get to see the guest appearance of Neha Dhupia and Ananya Pandey.

Music

This is one department of the film which does not disappoint you at all, all the songs are good to listen to and force you to dance.

The film is a little over 2 hours long, but perhaps its length could have been a little less, and here and there, unnecessary comedy scenes are also plotted. For once you can enjoy this film, which will also give you fun, I mean if you want to watch a movie in the theater this week and you have already seen it for a while then you can give this film a chance. You can watch it on OTT after a few days on Prime Video.
